Settings

The Settings pages are where you can configure application, security, and license settings for Arundo Edge. You can also delete historical tag data from here.

Getting There

Select Settings on the sidebar and then select the relevant settings page.

Configuring General Settings

Complete the following to configure general settings for Arundo Edge.

  1. Select Settings | General on the sidebar.
  2. Select Show system information on the dashboard to display metrics about the local system on the Dashboard.

    Tip

    When you deselect this option, the Information panel no longer displays on the Dashboard.

  3. Select Enable remote management from Fabric to allow users to manage this instance of Arundo Edge from the Edge Manager in Arundo Fabric.

    Tip

    When you deselect this option, you can only manage Arundo Edge locally.

  4. Click Update.

Deleting Historical Data

Complete the following to delete locally stored values for tags. This gives you the ability to clean up disk space on your edge device.

  1. Select Settings | General on the sidebar.
  2. Move down to the Maintenance panel.
  3. In Clear locally stored values, select the following options as necessary:

    • Select Sent to delete values stored for data sent to your cloud environment.
    • Select Not Sent to delete values stored for data not yet sent to your cloud environment.
  4. Click Delete Tags.

Enabling SSL Encryption

SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) encryption establishes secure connections to protect your data. Complete the following to enable SSL encryption for data sent from Arundo Edge.

Prerequisites

  • Buy an SSL certificate
  • Download the SSL certificate files to the edge device
  • Install the SSL certificate on the edge device

Instructions

  1. Select Settings | Security on the sidebar.
  2. Select Enable HTTPS protocol.
  3. In Certification, click Choose File and select the SSL certificate file.
  4. In Key, click Choose File and select the private key for the SSL certificate.
  5. (Optional) In CA (Certificate authority), click Choose File and select the CA bundle file for the SSL certificate.
  6. Click Update.

Upgrading from a Trial License

Complete the following to upgrade from a Trial to a Full license.

Prerequisites

Instructions

  1. Select Settings | License on the sidebar.
  2. Enter your license key.
  3. Click Validate.

    • If the validation is successful, no further action is required.
    • If the validation is unsuccessful, contact our Customer Support team for further assistance.
